Method of Application

All Chemsol Products are recommended to be applied only by Approved Applicators and should be used after using proper PPEs like Gloves, mask, goggles, etc.

Substrate Quality

The CDS (clean, dry, sound) test must be conducted. The substrate must be free of all contaminants such as dirt, oil, grease, coatings, and surface treatments, etc. If in doubt, apply a test area first.

Mixing

Mix manually or mechanically a bag of 40 kg of chemlay 10 k with 5.5-6.5 lit of cleanwater until a homogeneous paste is obtained. Let the mixed mortar rest for few minutes

Coverage

Consumption is dependent upon the texture and porosity of the surface as well as on the size of the tiles and the joints between them. As a general guide, the approximate consumption can be calculated by volume, where ~1.7 kg/m2/mm of material is required.Properly grind the substrate to remove the laitance and loose material, followed by vacuum cleaning. Lightly dampen the floor with water (water should not be accumulated on the surface) and then apply bonding agent Chemfast SBR with a brush or roller at a coverage of 5-6 sqm/litre of liquid cement slurry. Immediately pour the mixed mortar on the bonding agent till it is still tacky. Level and compact the mortar to the desired thickness with the help of a wooden float or steel trowel.
